The goal of MSU extension’s aging in place initiative is to provide education and resources to assist families to increase the opportunity for older adults to age in their own homes. Montana has one of the oldest rural populations in the U.S. and keeping people in their communities provides an economic and social benefit for the individual and the community. There are several educational and research-based programs that provide tools and resources to improve the living environment and opportunity for success at home.
